Over the years, many local residents have kindly donated photographs to the Parish Council. They have been expertly scanned, printed and mounted by Peter and Janet Watts. Many people have enjoyed coming to see them at the annual exhibition at the Village Hall.
The next job is to catalogue them and make them available online. There are over 800 photographs, so this will take a little while. Once completed, the photographs will be available online under categorised headings (Buildings, farming, schooldays, sports etc.)
The first five categories are now available and I will be filling up the table below as quickly as I can.
If anybody has any additional information about any of the photos, I would be delighted to hear from you. Thank you, Andy Gibbs.
A searchable catalogue will also be available online to enable casual viewers and researchers alike to easily find what they are looking for.
Below is a small selection from the archive for you to enjoy. Click on each photo to see the full image.
